His natural talent and relentless dedication earned him a place on the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series, where he competed alongside some of the best surfers on the planet. Philippe's signature flair and progressive style set him apart — at the WSL SLO CAL Open at Pismo Beach, he turned heads by posting the day's best heat total, a performance that cemented his reputation as a surfer with serious ability and competitive fire. His success on the QS also attracted the attention of major industry sponsors recognized Philippe's potential early, backing him throughout his competitive career and affirming what those who watched him surf already knew: this was someone special.
